The Animal Foundation has announced that it will no longer be open to the public on Mondays. Instead, the shelter will now be open Tuesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. According to the Animal Foundation, Mondays now will be used for team member development and training. 

In fact, the shelter has faced several challenges recently, which made this change necessary. Over the summer, especially in the month of September, the shelter faced a surge in pet surrenders. In October, the outbreak of a respiratory virus forced the Animal Foundation to close all dog intakes as well as limit the adoptions of dogs.
