Recently, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released both national and state unemployment and jobs data from April. According to the national employment situation report, the national unemployment rate dropped from 3.5 percent in March to 3.4 percent in April.
Nevada’s state unemployment rate saw a drop from 5.5 percent in March to 5.4 percent in April. Additionally, according to the report, the state added about 3,046 jobs with some of the largest increases coming from the financial activities, business, and government sectors.
